Prime Example

But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use me as a prime example of His great patience with even the worst sinners. Then others will realize that they, too, can believe in Him and receive eternal life.
— 1 TIMOTHY 1:16 (NLT)

As God continues to show us mercy and exhibit His wonder patience, we have to understand that He’s not just doing it for us. When He pulls us through the worst predicaments, it’s for Him to receive all the glory, but also to build the body of Christ? How you ask? By making you a prime example through your testimony.

God’s plan is that everyone receive salvation through His son, Jesus Christ, and inherit eternal life. One of the best ways for people to learn of Christ is through your walk. That’s why you cannot be ashamed of telling what Jesus has brought you through. You’re the prime example someone needs to hear from so they too will realize they can believe in Him and receive eternal life. Share your journey with someone. It could be the precursor to the breakthrough and life change they needed.

I am not ashamed…

How You See It

For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things He planned for us long ago.
— EPHESIANS 2:10 (NLT)
How You See It.png

Did you know God knows what’s going to happen in your life today? Matter of fact, He knows what’s going to happen in your life next year! He has carefully orchestrated each moment of your life to give you great opportunities to do good things He planned for you long ago. So, what’s going on around you isn’t a mistake. It’s not terrible. It’s not chaotic or by happenstance. It’s really all how you see it.

If you see your hardship as “here we go again” or “why does this keep happening to me?” then you’ll more than likely miss your opportunity to do a good thing. On the other hand, if you see your hardship as an opportunity for God to show the world why He called you His masterpiece, then your energy will change, your attitude will change, and possibly the people around you will change. All because you decided to see your opportunity a different way and do a good thing.

Look beyond

Remain Confident

Though a mighty army surrounds me, my heart will not be afraid. Even if I am attacked, I will remain confident.
— PSALM 27:3 (NLT)
Remain Confident.jpg

Today I want to encourage you to remain confident in the Lord. Things may not look the way you want them to and everything may not be going as well as you planned, but you still have a God that promised to supply all of your needs. Whatever your need is, remain confident and remember that your God is faithful.

Even when you feel the enemy or your situation has got you surrounded and you can’t see any way out, know that Jesus can make a way when you think there is no way. You do not have to be afraid, worried, or depressed. Believe in God. And if God allows you to be attacked, it’s not for you to be consumed, but to rise above and grow from the experience. Remain confident and always look for what Christ is doing in your situation.

See God’s glory

Go Lay Down

A third time the LORD called, ‘Samuel!’ And Samuel got up and went to Eli and said, ‘Here I am; you called me.’ Then Eli realized that the LORD was calling the boy. So Eli told Samuel, ‘Go and lie down, and if he calls you, say, ‘Speak, LORD, for your servant is listening.’ So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
— 1 SAMUEL 3:8 – 9 (NIV)

God wants our attention. He always has something to tell us, we’re just too busy to stop and listen to Him. We always have this errand to run or that meeting to attend or this tweet to retweet or that Netflix series to watch and God is like, “Hey!” but we don’t hear Him. So, what He will do is call our name through that movie we’re wrapped up in or call our name in the middle of that meeting we’re in and then… He wants us to lay down what’s taking our attention from His voice and listen to Him.

You have so many important things to distract you today, but go lay them down and say, “Here I am, Lord. Speak. Your servant is listening.” You have protest to attend, you have projects to complete, you have loved ones to call, you have dinner to cook, you have a lot of things going that you need to lay down and say, “Speak, Lord.” Jesus has something to tell you today that will change your life and you may miss it if you let life get in the way.

Speak, Lord
