Who Do You Please?

When people’s lives please the LORD, even their enemies are at peace with them.
— PROVERBS 16:7 (NLT)

If you keep living, you’re going to learn that you cannot please everyone. Someone is always not going to like what you say, what you do, who you do it with, where you live, how you dress, what you eat – it’s always going to be something! The more you try to please people, the further you move away from pleasing God and becoming who He created you to be.

And since you will never please everyone, focus on pleasing the Lord. When your life is pleasing to God, He will make your enemies be at peace with you. Seeking God first allows Christ to add everything to your life that you need. If you are having problems in your marriage, relationships with your family, friends or at work, switch your agenda to pleasing Jesus and He will handle the rest.

Heavenly Father, I seek to please You. I know if You are pleased with me that You will touch all my other relationships and command a blessing over my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
