“‘Yes,’ Jesus replied, ‘and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come.’”
In today’s scripture we find Jesus explaining to His disciples what it truly meant to faithfully follow Him. After Jesus gives a run down of what’s required, Peter responds by saying, “We’ve left our homes to follow You.” Jesus responds wonderfully with, “I assure you that everyone who has given up house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the Kingdom of God, will be repaid many times over in this life, and will have eternal life in the world to come.”

Whatever you have in life, have faith to give it up to God and allow Him to return it to you better. You can’t fix your relationship without God. Give it up to Him. You won’t experience stress free days at work without Christ. Give it up to Him. Everything you have belongs to God. And if you’re going to faithfully follow Him, you have to give Him your spouse, your child, your friendships, your money, your career, your car, your house, your social media accounts, your… (fill in the blank)…
