As my wife and I celebrate our five-year wedding anniversary today, I reflect back on all we’ve experienced – good and bad. We decided early in our marriage that no matter what came at us or came for us that we’d endure. We did this by inviting the Lord into our marriage. It was after the wedding vows, after cutting the cake, and after friends and family went home. It was just us. And Jesus.

For a long time, I thought today’s scripture was about my love. Nope! It’s about a love stronger than mine will ever be. Today’s scripture is about the love of God. God is love. And with God’s love, you can make it through every circumstance. Try reading 1 Corinthians chapter 13 and everywhere you see the word love, replace it with God. When you love through God, you too will be able to endure through every circumstance.
