“Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.”
We’ve all had moments in life where we just didn’t understand what was going on. “Why was this happening? What’s the best way to get through this?” And when the answer is not apparent, time can stand still, and we become frozen in our steps. We feel we can’t move ahead in life and no forward progress is being made. When and if that happens, we have to turn it off.

Turn off what? Your own understanding. You can’t move forward or get over what’s happening in your life because you can’t explain it or don’t have a solution. But when you turn off your own understanding and realize everything isn’t for you to understand, you allow your spirit to trust the Lord and come to peace. Then, and only then, is God able to reveal His plan to you. And He may not reveal His whole plan, but trust me, what He tells you will be enough.
