Who do you turn to when you need good advice? Is it an old friend? A sibling? A parent? Maybe you have a counselor you prefer to refer to when making those hard life decisions or maybe you would rather make an appointment with your pastor. Regardless of who you confide in or rely on for good advice, make sure it is godly advice pointing you back to scripture.

Too many times we ask people for advice that aren’t on the same path as us. We seek words of wisdom from people we know will tell us what we want to hear instead of what we need to hear. If we want to be blessed, we need to be sure godly advice is being poured into us at all times. It’s not about what makes us feel good or even popular opinion, but in all things we must seek the approval of God. And in order to do that, our actions have to line up with His word and His way of doing things.
