Your Role is Needed

‘There’s a young boy here with five barley loaves and two fish. But what good is that with this huge crowd?’
— JOHN 6:9 (NLT)

We’ve all heard the story of Jesus feeding over 5,000 people with only two fish and five loaves of bread. We talk about the disciples and the questions they asked Christ and even how they diligently followed His directions to sit the people down, but how often do we highlight the little boy that gave up his lunch? Better yet, how often do we lift up his parent that prepared the lunch?

My point is, whatever gift God blessed you with, and whatever talent you possess, your role is needed! In Christ, there is no small roles or insignificant people. You may not always lead the crowd or perform the miracle, but you can contribute to the miracle. So, whatever your role, it’s important and only you can do it. You have a purpose, and the body of Christ needs you.

Do ya thang!

Heavenly Father, thank You for giving me purpose and a role to fill. I am blessed with a gift that I choose to share with others so that You will be glorified. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

This is my prayer
