There was a young man who had to go before a judge for a speeding ticket. He was fined $200. The young man told the judge he didn’t have the money, but had good reason for speeding. He was going to be late to his new job due to securing his son at daycare. The judge knew if he couldn’t pay, he’d face jail time. So, the judge removed his robe, stood next to the young man, and paid his fine. He put his robe back on, returned to his stand, and told the young man his debt had been paid. You’re free to go.

Jesus removed His heavenly robe to come to earth and stand next to you in order to pay for your sin. He purchased your freedom and forgave your sin. Today you can rejoice knowing you have been rescued from the kingdom of darkness and transferred into the Kingdom of God. Your sin debt is paid. You’re free to go live a godly life in Christ.
