What the world needs now, more than ever, is generosity. I’m not just talking about money – although scripture says that money answers all things (Ecclesiastes 10:19). I’m talking about being generous with love, kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness. In these dark times, we - the light of the world - must drive out darkness. In these hateful times, we - the children of God - must drive out hate with the love of Christ. And when we go out of our way to be generous, God will refresh us and make us prosperous.

You know the best way to dig yourself out of a rut? Help dig someone else out of a rut! When you go out of your way to be generous to others, you not only bless them, but yourself as well. It doesn’t have to be a huge event. It doesn’t have to cost a ton of money. It can be as simple as a phone call or text message to let someone know you just prayed for them. It could be subscribing someone to Live Life devotionals or sharing this message with them. Just take a few moments to go out of your way to be generous and refresh someone and watch God return the blessing.
