A Person and Their Gift

A man’s gift makes room for him and brings him before great men.
— PROVERBS 18:16 (NKJV)

My mother is an extraordinary person. She’s done things in her community and beyond that have affected the lives of so many. I’ve seen her birth a vision, make a phone call and that vision became reality. She receives calls from the chief of police office, the mayor’s office, and governor’s office in efforts of collaboration. She’s been elected as a city official and received awards from the FBI, DPR and several other renown lettered organizations. You’d think my mom was degreed or certified in effective leadership, but no, she isn’t. She’s gifted and her gift made room for her and brought her before great people to achieve godly results.

I salute my mother this Mother’s Day, but she is no different than you. You too can achieve godly results when you act in your gifted area. A person and their gift can only be stopped by one person: You! Once you know your gift and you act in it, not only will your world change for the better, but you will make the lives of others better as well. See, God set this thing up so that you will not have to ask to use your gift. No. Your gift will open doors for you. And behind those doors are more great people – like you – acting in their gifted area to bless you and partner with you, so that you can continue being a blessing to others. Find your gift. Accept your gift. Learn your gift. Act in your gift. Give God the praise for your gift.

Happy Mother’s Day!
