Open You Eyes

‘Don’t be afraid,’ the prophet answered. ‘Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ And Elisha prayed, ‘Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.’ Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
— 2 KINGS 6:16 – 17 (NIV)

In today’s scripture, the Prophet Elisha and his servant are found surrounded by the enemy. Elisha was to be captured by the Arameans because he was foiling their army’s plan of attack. Elisha would prophesy to king of Israel the Arameans sneak attacks, and Israel would be found waiting. While Elisha was in Dothan, the Arams army surrounded the place where he and his servant were. The servant panicked, but Elisha, fully aware of who his God was, did not.

Today, my friend, I encourage you to open your eyes. Open your eyes and see past the obstacle in front of you. See past that closed door before you. See beyond what people have called you and said about you. Open your eyes and see that with God, you have more that are with you than those against you. Whatever you’re facing isn’t bigger than your God. What ever you’re worried about doesn’t worry Jesus. You can’t see what He sees if you can only see the enemy. God is for you; therefore no one can be against you. And in every situation, you’re not outnumbered. Your enemy is!

You have a host of angels
