“Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases.”
You are blessed. God handled that when He woke you up this morning. And if He didn’t do anything else for you today, that alone is enough to bless His holy name. God kept you all last night. While you were asleep and had no earthly idea of what was going on around you, He sent His angels to protect you. He blessed the sun to shine upon you and warm your face. He blessed the crisp air that enters and exits your lungs. God is in the business of blessing you over and over again and you should pause right now to bless the Lord with all that’s within you.

The blessing business goes both ways. I know you appreciate when Jesus showers you with blessings, but take time to just bless Him for who He is. Not in passing or a fleeting thought, but put all your heart, mind, soul and attention into it! When you bless His holy name, think about all the benefits you have in Christ. Bless His holy name for instantly forgiving your iniquities and giving you a brand-new start! Bless His holy name for healing every disease you’ve had. Not just health related diseases either. He healed you from the disease of broken heartedness, from poverty, from lust, from lying, from stealing, from hating, from loneliness, from anger, from destruction and all other diseases not of Him. Ain’t that enough to bless the Lord with all that is within you?
