I could end this devotional early, just by saying, “the Lord is good.” That’s enough right there to get you through the day and the next day, and the day after that! God is so good, that it doesn’t matter what’s going on in your life, He’s still good. He’s good when you’re feeling your best or when you’ve seen better days. He’s good when you’ve just received an expected bonus at work or when you’ve put your last ten in your gas tank. He’s good when you’re surrounded by loved ones and when loved ones walk away. And one good thing about God’s goodness is it doesn’t run out.

It doesn’t matter what you’re going through, or about to go through, God’s unfailing love will continue with you and in you forever. Jesus’ faithfulness endures to every generation. That means what Christ promised you is yours forever. His goodness is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Jesus is bigger than the storm you’re in. Whatever is too big for you, is just right for Christ. His promises can leap frog any obstacle in your way. And it’s nothing you’ve done to deserve this great promise. It’s because God chose you. He loves you. And He is good.
