You Are Restored

And the God of all grace, who called you to His eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.
— 1 PETER 5:10 (NIV)

Many man-made materials can be reprocessed and repurposed, but there’s a natural material that can be restored over and over again with each time becoming more stronger, firm and even more beautiful the next. Reclaimed wood is any wood restored and used from a building or furniture that’s already served a purpose in a previous life. That means it comes from a wide variety of places, each with its own unique history. It has been treated to make it stronger and bring out it’s natural beauty after it’s gone through several restoration processes.

You are God’s most prized, natural resource. You are called to His eternal glory in Christ. In order for God to help you see your true potential and beauty, you may go through several restoration processes. Yes, you will experience some suffering in life. God uses every unique situation you’ve faced to restore you. You may lose a loved one too early or you may get fired from several jobs during your career, but during this discomfort, in your short period of suffering, your Sovereign God is with you and He, Himself, will restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. He is the God of all grace and through this grace, you are restored, stronger and more beautiful than you were before. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning!
