Just Enough

GOD will lavish you with good things: children from your womb, offspring from your animals, and crops from your land, the land that GOD promised your ancestors that he would give you. GOD will throw open the doors of his sky vaults and pour rain on your land on schedule and bless the work you take in hand. You will lend to many nations but you yourself won’t have to take out a loan.
— DEUTERONOMY 28:13 (MSG)

Let me start off by saying, “You’re blessed.” Think about that for second and what it means. It means God has smiled on you. It means God is mindful of you. It means God favors you. His word says He will lavish you with good things and that everything He has given you is blessed. God said He will throw open the doors of His sky vaults (plural) and pour blessings on you in season and bless the work of your hands. Sounds to me, God wants you to be blessed and not survive on just enough. So, don’t accept living a just enough life!

Do you or do you not make sure your kids and the people you love have nice things? Then why would you think your Heavenly Father doesn’t want you to be blessed with nice things? You’re Daddy ain’t broke! He has pearly gates and roads paved in gold, so don’t you dare settle for just enough in life! He wants you to never need a loan. That sounds like a blessed life. God said you are to be above only and never beneath. Blessed. The head and not the tail. Blessed. You were not created to settle for just enough. Job, education, finances, health, etc. You serve an abundant God. An overflow Savior. So, why would He bless you with “just enough?” Never settle. God has more for you.

Heavenly Father, thank You for lavishly blessing me with good things. Throw open your vaults and bless me beyond measure. You are not a “good enough” god. You are God of abundance and overflow. I am blessed, the work of my hands are blessed and I will not settle for just enough. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
