Can Do

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
— PHILIPPIANS 4:13 (NKJV)

When you woke up this morning, did you tell yourself you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you? If you didn’t, it’s never too late to declare it. And when you say it, remember not to put limitations on what you’re able to do today through Christ. The scripture doesn’t say, “You can do some things” and it doesn’t say, “You can do all things when you try really hard.” No! It says “all things through Christ.” My mom coined a phrase, “Detroit’s B.E.S.T. Can Do!” while working for the Board of Education Student Transportation. The phrase didn’t limit B.E.S.T. by saying what it could do, but left the phrase open to express the idea that whatever needed to be done, B.E.S.T. can do it!

My friend, whatever it is that needs to be done in your life, you can do it! You can deal with the crisis the world is facing today because Christ strengthens you. You can deal with people talking about you because Christ strengthens you. You can meet that deadline. You can survive this layoff. You can train up your wavering child in the way they should go. You can overcome illness. You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! Your abilities are limitless with Christ. If you think there’s something in your life that’s too big for you, well, you’re wrong. (Sorry, there’s just no other way to say it.) If it is of God, you can do it. Start every day thanking God for His strength. He knows what you can do. Do you?

Yes, you can!

Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unlimited strength that You supply me with to do all things through You. I can do any and everything You have called me to do. You are a “can do” God. Thank You for walking with me. Thank You for covering me while I do the impossible.  In Jesus’ name. Amen.
