What Would You Say?

For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
— MATTHEW 7:8 (NIV)

I recently started a new career and am still in the “learning curve” phase. It’s fast past and never a dull moment. The other day kicked my butt! Yep. That day won the fight, battle and war. Whatever bad that could happen, happened. It seemed everywhere I turned was a concern that needed all of my attention. I was overwhelmed. I was outdone. I just wanted the day to be over. I left defeated. The next morning, I told my day it wasn’t going to have its way with me. I declared that it was going to be, not just a better day, but a wonderful day and that everything was going to go my way. You know who heard me say those things? Jesus.

If Jesus was standing right in front of you, face to face, what would He hear you say? Really take a moment to ponder it, because guess what? He is right in front of you! Whatever you ask for in Jesus’ name, you will receive it. Whatever you’re seeking, you will find in Christ. Whatever door you need opened, God is holding the key. If you declare blessings over your day, God’s listening and your words activate your angels to deliver His promises. If you declare you are defeated, the enemy hears you and will try everything to prove you right. Use uplifting words throughout your day. When you feel life slipping out of control, remember what you would say to God and say it. He’s listening. What are you saying?
