Who are you? What do you stand for? What makes you different? However compelling your answers are to the questions I just asked you, someone is not going to like you for it. That’s right! Everyone is not going to like you. No matter what you do or what you say, where you go or what you wear. Someone is not going to like you. And you know what? You have to be OK with that. Why? Because God made you, so you should like who you are regardless of what someone else thinks about you. You’re a child of The Most High so shake it off!

Your time is valuable. Your love is irreplaceable. You are precious! Don’t waste time trying to convince people of what they cannot see, appreciate or respect. When someone can’t see the gift that God created in you, shake it off! You have much more life to live and more people to meet that will love you, appreciate you and celebrate you. Don’t fight battles that aren’t yours. If someone can’t respect you, that’s their problem to work out. If someone can’t be peaceful with you, they have to find their source in Christ. You have people today and in your future waiting to adore you. Shake off those that can’t, be the “you” God created you to be, and live a life pleasing to God.
