Be Content

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.
— PHILIPPIANS 4:11 (NKJV)

Today, we find ourselves 10 days into a new year. The resolutions we made 1st are still fresh in our minds; things we were going to do differently, changes we committed to make in our lives, blessings we claimed and curses we rebuked. It’s great to have a fresh start and to feel every blessed door will be opened because we spoke it, but we tend to become a little discouraged when things don’t fall into place or fast enough according to our time frame.

My friend, God has heard every resolution you’ve committed to in His will. He wants you to live an abundant life and lack for nothing. He wants you to be in great health – spiritually, mentally, physically and financially. Christ does not want to withhold any good thing from you. And while you’re moving toward reaching your goal, use this period to learn to be content in whatever state Jesus has you in. Have faith that where you are today is not by mistake and that Christ is working on your behalf. Continue seeking God and His righteousness and allow Him to add everything to you that you need. Be content whatever state you’re in and keep pressing toward the mark!

Heavenly Father, I choose to be content in whatever state You have me in. I know You have heard the petitions of my heart and I have faith You are working on my behalf to live an abundant life in You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
