A safe deposit box is an individually secured container, usually held within a larger safe or bank vault. Safe deposit boxes are available at most banking institutions. Recently, I noticed how well protected items can be when using this service. When I walked into the bank, I was greeted at the door by a security officer. I conducted business with a bank teller who was behind a counter only accessible to employees who possessed the code. Behind that, was a large vault door that too required a code to enter. Finally, once inside the vault, the safe deposit boxes were designed with two keyholes; one for the owner and the other for an employee, who have to open the box together to gain access to the goods inside.

How well do you guard the good deposit that was entrusted to you by Jesus? Can a bad day rock your world and crumble your faith? Can the words of a slick character persuade you from believing what God has revealed to you in His word? You have the help of the Holy Spirit to guard your good deposit with the faith and love of Christ Jesus. Put on your full armor so you will have layers of protection against the spiritual warfare you will encounter today. Let God’s word be true and everything else a lie. Be careful not to be swayed by social media, political commentary or other outlets that contradict what you know to be true.
