“Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!”
Sunshine doesn’t guarantee a nice day is ahead. Rain doesn’t always mean a depressing day awaits you. It doesn’t matter if you’re stuck in a traffic jam or if you make every green light on the way home from work. It doesn’t make a different if you wake up with a sore back or if you’ve discovered the fountain of youth and feel like a spring chicken. If you’re able to acknowledge that this is the day that the Lord has made, no matter the circumstances, you’ll always be able to rejoice and be glad in it.

This kind of mindset can be hard, but it’s not impossible. Sometimes you may have to say it again to stay on track! Rejoice! When they’ve just piled more tasks on you at work, but forgot to pile more money on your paycheck. Rejoice! When six people have told you “No” because you have faith the seventh with be a “yes!” Say it again when the going gets tough, but you get tougher. Rejoice when your last best friend turns on you, but you realize, oh, what a friend you have in Jesus! No matter what’s ahead of you, behind you, left or right, rejoice in the Lord always. And don’t hesitate to say it again!
