You Don't Know My Story

Jesus answered, ‘Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid, for I know where I came from and where I am going. But you have no idea where I come from or where I am going.’
— John 8:14 (NIV)

What got you to where you are in life? Some believe it was a series of events since birth. Some believe it to be as simple as making a left turn instead of going right. Just imagine. Everything you’ve done, choices you’ve made, people you’ve listened to, or maybe ignored, and chances you’ve taken have all brought you to where you are today, but there are many people that will see you today and think that they can sum you up by the clothes you wear, the house you live in or the car you drive. On the contrary my friend. You’re more than that.

They don’t know your story. They don’t know the sacrifices you’ve made to get where Jesus has placed you. They don’t know the sleepless nights, the failed marriage, the hopelessness, the trials or tribulations. They don’t know the victories, the triumphant battles over Satan, the twenty-five “No’s!” before you got your first “Yes!” And since they don’t know where you came from, don’t let them tell you where you’re going! They have no idea the plans Christ has for you and quite honestly, you may not have all the details either, but you can testify on your own behalf. Your testimony is valid! You know what God has brought your from and you know this isn’t the end of your story. Don’t be ashamed of your testimony. Jesus has plans for you and your life. He sees your future, and you look so much better.

Never would have made it

Heavenly Father, thank You for having a plan over my life. My testimony is valid because of You. I may not know where I’m going, but if I follow You, I know I will live an abundant life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
