A Better Plan

His wife said to him, ‘Are you still maintaining your integrity? Curse God and die!’ He replied, ‘You are talking like a foolish woman. Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?’ In all this, Job did not sin in what he said.
— JOB 2:9 – 10 (NIV)

In the Book of Job, Job is labeled as a blameless and upright man that feared God and shunned evil. He was very prosperous and wanted for nothing. God allowed Satan to take away everything Job loved and possessed. His wife and children were taken from him, his livestock and cattle destroyed and stolen, even his health was compromised. In all of this, Job did not curse God. He maintained his integrity and through faith knew God had a better plan for his life.

God has all power. Satan only has the power you give him. Don’t give credit to the devil for what God is doing in your life. Praise God in the good times and the bad. If God allows you to lose anything in life, have faith He has a better plan for you. Sure, you can’t replace loved one, but God will give you an irreplaceable peace to comfort you. Lose your job, car breaks down, look towards Jehovah Jireh to provide for you. Health fails, problems are only overcome by more problems, believe it’s all part of God’s plan for a better you. God replaced everything Job lost and blessed him exceedingly abundantly above all he could ask or think. The next time things aren’t going your way, don’t sin or curse God and die. Maintain your faith and integrity knowing the Lord has a better plan.

Look to the hills…
