I Didn't Do It

You are my God, and I will praise You; You are my God, and I will exalt You. Give thanks to the LORD, for He is good; His love endures forever.
— PSALM 118:28 – 29 (NIV)

For believers, it is important that we constantly praise God. One, because He is worthy to be praised and two, it reminds us we didn’t do “it” ourselves. We didn’t wake ourselves up this morning. God did. We didn’t afford that lovely vacation we took on our own. God did. That medicine we took didn’t heal us. God did. The house we slept in didn’t protect us all night. God did.

This week, remember “I didn’t do it. God did it.” It will remind you who God is and help you focus more on Him rather than what’s all around you. Exalt the Lord and thank Him, for He is good. His love for you endures forever. So, when you’re on vacation, “Thank You, Jesus!” When your car starts up, “Thank you, Lord.” When a loved one gets an award, “Thank You, God!” When the pain goes away, “Thank You, Savior!” With God, you can do everything. With Christ, nothing is impossible for you. Keep Jesus in the forefront and remind yourself, “I didn’t do it. God did it.”

Thank You, Jesus!
