“I am confident in the Lord that you will take no other view. The one who is throwing you into confusion, whoever that may be, will have to pay the penalty.”
Paul had a message for the churches in Galatia. In Galatians 5:7 – 8, he says, “You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth? That kind of persuasion does not come from the One who calls you.” There were opposing forces pushing those who had previously accepted Christ as their Lord to do things not of Christ. Even with these opposing forces, Paul had confidence in the Lord that the disciples of Jesus would not give into these forces, but stay the course with Christ.

It amazes me how biblical situations are still so prevalent in the lives of believers today. Over two thousand years ago, people who were trying to live godly lives were being pushed not to. In 2019, the story has not changed much. (Well, except now there’s more external forces such as TV, Facebook, Instagram and every other type of media.) Whatever your opposing force is, choose today to keep running your good race and stay the course with Christ. I don’t care if it’s your mother, father, brother, sister, husband, wife, child, boss, best friend – whoever - Opposing you! Stay the course! Keep your faith in God and remain on the path He has directed. Let God deal with those trying to throw confusion into your life. Don’t change your focus to them. Decide today to take no other view than the one Jesus has for you.
