You Complete Me

Therefore He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, because He always lives to intercede for them.
— HEBREWS 7:25 (NIV)

There are many opinions out there as to how you obtain salvation and how you know that you’re “really” saved. It is not my desire to cause division among believers in any way by arguing a belief that aligns with mine or for that matter one that is contrary to mine. However, I do not mind sharing what the scripture says about salvation. While there are several, two come to mind immediately; first, Romans 10:9 - If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, and second, Romans 10:13 – for everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. There isn’t anything we could offer to gain salvation. It is a gift from God, given freely through Christ Jesus. And through Jesus, we are complete. Through Christ our sins have been forgiven. Through God’s Son we now have eternal life. We don’t have to search for more. We don’t have to wonder if we’re worthy. We are saved completely because we came to God through Jesus. No one can challenge that. No one can question our salvation due to our past because while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. No one can question our present, because Jesus is always interceding for us. Neither can our future be questioned because He is the author and finisher of our faith. Declare today that you are worthy of God’s love and salvation. Declare today that you lack nothing. Declare forever that you are completely saved through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!
