And You Know What? It's OK!

As you do not know the path of the wind, or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb, so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things.
— ECCLESIASTES 11:5 (NIV)

The average person doesn’t know how a microwave works. They just know when they put food in cold and set the timer, it’ll come out hot.  Most people don’t understand how a light bulb works, but they know enough to feel around a certain area of a wall in the dark until they feel a little switch, flip it, and they’ll be able to see. I mean, there are lots of things we do and use that we don’t fully understand the intricate parts of their structures and you know what? It’s OK. As long as you know it works.

As believers, we don’t always understand the works of God. And you know what? It’s OK. As long as we have faith and believe that He’s working on our behalf. We don’t understand why our plant closed its doors after 85 years. We don’t know why our cars breakdown right after we make the last car payment. We don’t understand why there’s senseless crimes in our cities, child abuse, homelessness or poverty. We do not know the path of the wind or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb and you know what? That’s OK. We know God is still on the throne and very much in control. Continue to have faith in the Lord. Believe that everything has reason and that He’s working all of it out for our good. Just as we believe the flip of a switch will provide light, believe that prayers to God will provide light as well.

Heavenly Father, there are lots of things I don’t understand and that’s OK because I have faith in you and know you are working all things together for my good. I will continue to seek Your face for wisdom and knowledge and accept the things I cannot change. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
