You Know The Name

That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
— PHILLIPIANS 2:10 - 11 (NIV)

Ever notice how much the name of Jesus is used daily? I mean, even among non-churchgoers? When something catches them off guard, the first thing they say is, “Jesus” or “Oh, God!” Without even knowing the full power of our Savior, they call His name by default. When they don’t understand something – “Jesus!” When they get scared – “Jesus!” If they miss out on an opportunity or get fed up – “Jesus Christ!” They call on the name not even fully knowing why.

Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing me to call the name that’s above every name. I bow at Your feet, Jesus. I confess that You are my Lord. Show Yourself strong and mighty over my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
