Would You Rather

LORD, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago.
— ISAIAH 25:1 (NIV)

"Would you rather" is a game my kids play that poses a dilemma in the form of a question beginning with "would you rather." The dilemma can be between two supposedly good options, such as, "Would you rather have the power of flight or the power of invisibility?", two attractive choices such as "Would you rather have money or have fame?" or two bad options like “Would you rather eat worms or slugs?” The choices are usually farfetched and cause you to use your imagination of which choice would be best suited for your life.

In real life, dilemmas are around all the time. You’re faced with decisions, the unknown and consequences daily, but what if I asked you, “Would you rather experience wonderful things?” without the dilemma? What if I told you experiencing wonderful things in life was your only choice? Would your thought process change? My friend, Christ has planned for you to experience wonderful things throughout your life. It is the will of God. Unlock God’s plan by exalting His holy name and praising Him daily. Do not allow dilemmas, stress or the unknown prevent you from receiving God’s wonderful things. He planned them long ago, and they are for you.
