Ever receive a gift you didn’t want? I mean, it’s nice the person thought enough to get you something, and you can’t be rude, but have you ever looked at a gift and thought, “What in the world am I going to do with this?!” I hear you, I hear you. “Van, it’s the thought that counts,” and you’re absolutely right, but when you take the time to know someone, you’ll know what they like. You’ll know what they need, what they want, what their favorite color is, favorite food, etc. Here’s food for thought, if you had to give God a gift, would you know what to get Him?

As believers, we know God, but if that be true, why is our world so void of love today? The world lacks compassion, forgiveness and peace – all byproducts of loving one another. If we truly know God, we know the perfect gift we could give Him is to love one another with the love that comes from Him. And it shouldn’t be that hard of a task for us. Everyone who loves has been born of God, so it’s already in us. Let’s take the time to make the effort to love one another as God created us to. A little love goes a long way. Especially today!
