Change of Scenery

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
— PSALM 23:4 (NIV)

“It’s always darkest before the dawn” is a famous quote that simply means things in life seem worst right before they become better. I know during some of the bad times in my life I’d say, “It can’t get any worse,” only to find out I was wrong, but in time, God delivered me. You may be in the darkest valley of your life right now, but God wants to give you a change of scenery. And the only way to experience this godly change is to keep walking with Him.

Scripture says you will walk through some dark valley’s in life, but it never said you had to stay there. You don’t have to dwell in your dark valley. You don’t have to sleep or even sit in your dark valley. You’re merely passing through. God doesn’t want you to get stuck there. Walk with Him until He reveals your change of scenery. You don’t have to fear the evil of men or their actions while you’re walking through your dark valley because Christ is with you. God will comfort you and strengthen you until your scenery changes. You only need to keep walking through your darkest valley.
