King (Queen) of the Jungle

The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.
— PROVERBS 28:1 (NIV)

The live action movie of Disney’s The Lion King made it to Blu-ray and DVD last week. (I didn’t care for it compared to the original, but I’m going to watch it one more time to be sure it was as bad as I thought it was.) The story follows Simba, a lion cub who was to be king of the jungle. Simba was thrown of this path by his jealous and deceitful uncle, Scar, whose goal was to rob Simba of his destiny. It took Simba some time and a few reminders to remember who he was before he eventually assumed his rightful place in the kingdom.

You too have a rightful place in God’s kingdom and the enemy will do anything to make sure you don’t fulfill your destiny, but Jesus has called you to be King (or Queen) of the Jungle and nothing less! So be sure not to accept anything less that this jungle offers you. You are as bold as a lion and can face anything the world places in front of you. Stand bold over sickness. Stand bold over pain. Stand bold over stress and anxiety. Stand bold over distractions and persecution. You were called to be a King or Queen and as such, the jungle must heed to the godliness and righteousness that is in you of Christ Jesus. Assume your rightful place in God’s kingdom.

Remember who you are

Heavenly Father, thank You for creating me in Your righteousness and as bold as a lion. I will stand boldly in You and declare the destiny You have predestined for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
