Something Else In Mind

You suffered along with those in prison and joyfully accepted the confiscation of your property, because you knew that you yourselves had better and lasting possessions.
— HEBREWS 10:34 (NIV)

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, but if you’re honest with yourself, you know it’s often hard hoping for things not seen. You can have all the faith in the world, but you can’t tell me when you lost your first job you didn’t say, “I don’t know what I’m going to do.” When your car broke down, you mean to tell me you didn’t say, “I don’t have money for this right now, Jesus!” You may witness a lot of things taken away from you, but allow your faith to remind you Jesus has something else in mind for you.

It’s not always the devil taking something away from you. Sometimes GOD has a better best friend for you. Sometimes Christ has a better job for you. Sometimes the Holy Spirit wants to remind you who you are. No matter what is taken away from you, they can never take Jesus from you. When your boss calls you into their office remember you have better and lasting possessions in Christ. When your significant other moves on without you remember you have better and lasting possessions in Christ. When one door closes remember, another door will open because you have better and lasting possessions in Christ and He always has something else in mind for you.

Keep believing!

Heavenly Father, when hard times come, I can joyfully accept it because You have something else in mind for me that’s better and lasting in You! In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
