We’ve all seen the movie The Color Purple, right? Remember the scene where Whoopi Goldberg’s Celie finally gets away from Mister and she says, “I'm poor, black; I may even be ugly. But dear GOD! I'm here! I'm here!” I always think about after everything she endured at the hands of Mister, she was able to thank GOD for still being alive. She knew what she’d come from – the pain, the abuse – and even with the unknown ahead, she was able to praise God openly for delivering her in that moment.

Every day, GOD gives us something to praise about and we need to let the world know. When God delivers you from what you used to do and be, praise God. When He blesses you to pay your bills (or even just put something on them), let people see you walking around and praising God. You may not be all the way to where you’d thought you'd be in life today, but you’re closer than you were yesterday – praise GOD! You may not have the title you want yet, but you woke up this morning to work towards obtaining it – praise GOD! Your praise has the potential to fill others with faith, wonder and amazement. It also can allow GOD to unlock more precious promises and blessings into your life. And sometimes, you just need to walk around and praise GOD that you’re here and better than you were yesterday!
