My Last Nerve

Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.
— EPHESIANS 4:3 (NIV)

There’s a saying that expresses when someone or something is close to pushing you over the edge of sanity to insanity. It’s when the kids won’t keep quiet during your afternoon nap after you’ve worked 12 hours. It’s when telemarketers keep calling your cell phone, but you have to answer because you’re expecting an important call. It’s when people that think they know you, but don’t, keep talking about what they think they know about you. It’s the moment when you’re about to help all hell break loose because all this is getting on your last nerve!

If you’re alive, there’s something in this world that has gotten on your last nerve, but you can’t allow Satan to push your buttons. Be aware of the devil’s tricks! He needs the world to see a follower of Christ, like you, cuss someone out or lose their mind. When you’re faced with these situations, remember there’s always a better way that doesn’t call for you yelling, fussing, being disrespectful or raising your blood pressure. Instead of ushering more hell into the world, usher GOD’s will on earth as it is in Heaven. As a believer, you have to purposely make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace and work on saving that last nerve for another day.
