Take Time

Before the mountains were born or You brought forth the whole world, from everlasting to everlasting You are GOD.
— PSALM 90:2 (NIV)

If you’re like me, you spend forty hours or more in a building working, staring at a computer screen. Then, after you’ve done all you can at work (because there’s always more work to be done), you head home to do even more work! Don’t get me wrong, I’m lucky enough to actually like my job and love going home, but sometimes following daily routines can cause you to miss out on a lot of things.

I want to encourage you today to take time to admire GOD’s beauty that’s all around you. Extravagant vacations are great, but sometimes you can escape by just admiring a blade of grass or staring out of your window into the clouds. Just think, before the mountains were born or GOD brought forth the whole world, this everlasting GOD thought of you and created beauty that we may not take time to really appreciate. The next time you’re stressed about your to do list or the next time things aren’t going your way, stop and take the time to remember GOD thought about you today and focus on the beauty He’s surrounded you with.

Heavenly Father, from everlasting to everlasting, You are GOD. Thank You for all the beauty that you’ve placed all around me. I will take time to appreciate You and all Your splendor. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
