Cruise control is a system that automatically controls the speed of a motor vehicle. The system is a servomechanism that takes over the throttle of the car to maintain a steady speed as set by the driver. Once you set the desired speed, it doesn’t matter what’s going on around you, what another car does, if it gets too hot outside or too cold, uphill or down, your vehicle will maintain the speed you set.

When you make the choice to become in every respect the mature body of Christ, you won’t handle situations today the same way you did in 2008. Why? Because you’ve set your love control. Like your vehicle’s cruise control, it doesn’t matter what’s going on around you because you’re set to love like Christ no matter the condition. When others choose to hate, you love. When people speak ill of you, you love. When it becomes difficult to love, you love. Set your love control to take over your thoughts, your speech, and your actions and enjoy the ride!
