What's Your Message?

When Jesus had finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed at His teaching.
— MATTHEW 7:28 (NIV)

Words have so much power. Words can be used to encourage people or make them think less of themselves. Words can lead a person where they normally would not go on their own or hold them captive and left to suffer in silence. Words can help one believe they can do anything or influence them to believe they aren’t worth anything. How do we use our words?

What’s your message to the world today? Will people be amazed by your words or discouraged? Will people leave your presence wanting more or wanting to get away from you as fast as possible? When Jesus taught, He taught from love and His message was to change the hearts of people. He chose words that would build people to reach their godly potential. He chose words that encouraged their spirits, increased faith, and restored hope where it was lost. You have Christ’s spirit. You know the truth. Prepare your words to convey a message that reflects that. A message that is of love, promotes peace and prosperity, and only seeks to better others. There are a lot of words in the world to use… Try to use the godly ones!
