You Are Chosen

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.
— JOHN 15:16 (NIV)

(I apologize for the delay in Live Life daily devotionals. The mail service server I use crashed. We’re back up and thank you again for your continual support!)

My daughter was recently selected by Blue Lake International Fine Arts Camp to sing soprano in their choir in Europe this summer and received a partial scholarship. Her music teacher chose her out of all her students and after the application and interviewing process, she was chosen to represent her high school, her city, her country as an ambassador. You may ask, “Has your daughter had singing lessons?” Nope. “Has your daughter participated in the fine arts long?” Nope. But because someone in authority chose her, based on a gift they saw in her, she will be experiencing an opportunity of a lifetime.

Someone in authority has chosen you too, my friend. You may not feel worthy. You may not have the experience. You more than likely don’t know what’s ahead! But the GOD that chose you for your task sees the gift in you and wants you to have the experience of a lifetime. GOD knows what you’re capable of. He knew you before you were formed in the womb. You don’t have to wonder if you’ll be successful or if it’ll work. It’s already done! You just have to have faith and walk in it. Christ doesn’t chose losers and you, my friend, are no loser. Be who GOD called you to be. Do what Christ told you to do. For no one can do what He chose you to do.

Heavenly Father, thank You for choosing me and appointed me to bear fruit that will last. I will be who You have called me to be. I will do what You have chosen me to do. Use me, Lord. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
