Have To Do The Work

‘See, today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.’
— JEREMIAH 1:10 (NIV)

GOD has placed you in a position of authority and one destined for success. He has appointed you over every nation and kingdom. He has empowered you to do His work and has given you the freedom to do it. Just think what can be accomplished with this mindset. A mindset that you are above only and never beneath. You are the head and not the tail. The lender and not the borrower. And even though GOD has given you this authority, there’s still work to be done.

In order to successfully live the life GOD has planned for you, you have to do the work. Let’s start at the end of today’s scripture. Before you can build and plant, you first have to destroy and overthrow some things in your life. You can’t build and plant on a poor foundation. Destroy the negative in your life and overthrow things you know to be holding you back. After destroying and overthrowing, you then have to uproot and tear down those things around you that won’t allow you to move forward. Uproot those childhood experiences that tell you who you were before you knew who you are in Christ. After you’ve done this, now you can build and plant, but remember, it’s a continuous process. As you build and plant more, you’ll have to keep tearing down and overthrowing.

It gets easier…

Heavenly Father, you have appointed me over nations and kingdoms to build and plant. I have the power to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow anything that stops me from living the blessed life you have planned for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
