The heart is very important to GOD. He knows whatever is in our hearts will eventually reveal itself when true opportunity presents itself. If forgiveness is already in our hearts, it won’t be hard to forgive our brother or sister when the time comes. If joy is in our hearts, a few cloudy days won’t mean the end for us, but will encourage us to hold out until the morning. It seems that GOD is more concerned about what’s on our hearts, than what’s on our minds.

Plenty of scripture backs up GOD’s desire for you to have a heart for GOD. “For where your heart is, there your heart will be also” (Matt 6:21). “Trust in the Lord with all your heart…” (Pr 3:5). “Above all else, guard your hear for everything you do flows from it” (Pr 4:23). “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see GOD” (Matt 5:8). Whatever you fill your heart with will be reflected in your life. If it’s filled with fear, doubt, or malice, you will see these things spill over into your relationships, your decisions and your lifestyle, but when you fill your heart with GOD’s love, patience, forgiveness and compassion, you give Christ room to operate! What’s on your heart allows you to see and hear Jesus clearly, follow in His footsteps and receive His blessings. This leads to a blessed life, not only for you, but for your family, friends, community and others. Allow Christ to change your heart and watch your entire life change.
