Remind Yourself

When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, ‘Who do people say the Son of Man is?’”
— MATTHEW 16:13 (NIV)

In the midst of all the hustle and bustle during our busy days, it’s not unusual for us to forget important things. I have seen people place items on the roofs of their cars, forget they placed them there, and drive off. I’ve been so busy during a work day, that I’ve forgotten to eat. I’m sure you have plenty of forgetful examples to share too, but one thing we should remind ourselves daily of is who Jesus is to us.

Don’t go a day without reminding yourself who Jesus is and what He’s done for you. When you take time to call Jesus who He is or reflect on what He’s done in your life, it helps you appreciate life that much more and motivates you to overcome adversity. Remind yourself Jesus is your provider. Tell yourself that Christ reigns and has given you the victory. Reflect on the peace that your Savior provided you this morning and allow it to spill over into your night. In good times, remind yourself who Jesus is. In not so good times, remind yourself who Jesus is. It won’t hurt to testify to yourself every once in a while.
