“When I said, ‘My foot is slipping,’ your unfailing love, LORD, supported me. When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”
Recently, my family and I tried our footing on a ropes course. I watched carefully as the part-time, teenage staff secured our harnesses and clicked each of us in for safety. Our children took off through the course with no fear, while my wife and I carefully chose our paths. When finished, I asked the kids how were they not scared for their lives being so high up and not afraid to fall? Without hesitation, they told us they’ve done the course before and know that if they slip, the harness will support them from falling.

What path in life are you hesitant to take for fear of falling? What would you try to better yourself if you knew you wouldn’t fall? God is ushering you towards a path to reach your highest heights in life and His unfailing love is right there to support you all the way. Jesus wants to replace your anxiety, fear, or doubt with His consolation that will bring joy to your life. Don’t worry about slipping or losing ground in life. Run your course knowing God is there to support you and bring you joy.
