“What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?”
God doesn’t want any believer to be poor. I’m not talking about the fancy cars, the big houses, or the trips around the world. God wants us to have everything we need and to enjoy the lives He’s given us, but what’s really important to Him is that we be rich in spirit.
It’s true God said you would receive a hundred times as much in this present age, but He also wants you to know what’s really important by learning the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. This life of fulfillment can only be achieved when your soul is made whole in Christ Jesus. With Christ in your soul, your life can be rich without materialistic things. However, you can have all the world’s riches and still not be fulfilled without Christ. Make sure your soul is all right with Christ and remember what’s really important.
