I believe as followers of Christ that we sincerely feel we exalt God over everything in our lives. We show God is over all by not choosing to sleep in and going to church. We show God is over all by not buying that new purse or shoes in order to pay our tithes and offering instead. But do we show that God is exalted over all through our words and actions toward one another?
Everything under heaven and earth belongs to God including the words you choose and the actions you take. When you exalt Him over all, it will carry over into every aspect of your life. Choose God’s peace over yelling and usage of menacing words with your loved ones. Choose Jesus’ compassion toward strangers over your fear of having contact with them. Choose the Holy Spirit’s hospitality and words of encouragement over only being kind behind church walls or speaking death. Let God’s greatness, power, glory, majesty, and splendor infect your total being and not just one aspect of your life. Exalt Him over all and He will make the impossible possible for you.
