Looking For God's Help

I lift up my eyes to the mountains— where does my help come from? My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.
— PSALM 121:1 – 2 (NIV)

Our God is an awesome God. He’s the maker of heaven and earth. He’s the sustainer of our minds. He can do all things… including send us the help we need.

When you’re in need, and you pray to God for help, He’s going to send it to you, but you don’t get to choose what form He sends it. If your prayer is one to lift your financial burden, and that mean aunt you just don’t like wants to bless you, but you don’t want her money because she’ll hold it over your head, you better go ‘head and receive what God has for you! He told you the wealth of the wicked is stored up for the righteous. Plus, you will never know everything God is doing in the lives of others. God uses family, friends, strangers, and even your enemies, to deliver His help to you. The moral of this devotional is: Don’t turn down God’s help while you’re looking for God’s Help.
