“I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.”
You may not be the best athlete. You may not be able to walk past a jelly-filled doughnut without gaining ten pounds like you could in high school. Your vocabulary may not be as vast as your neighbor’s, but the race isn’t given to the swift or the battle to the strong, because God has leveled the playing field of life for us all.
It doesn’t matter what you look like or what mental or physical limits you think you may have. Time and chance happens to us all. That means God has given you the ability to be successful regardless of who you are or who you used to be. It’s in your destiny. It’s written in your DNA! He’s already planned it for you. Your job is to be ready when it’s your time. That means you can’t be distracted by worrying, being stressed out, comparing what you have to what someone else has, or kicking yourself in the butt for a mistake you made in the past. Your chance under the sun is coming. Are you ready?
