Plan To Do Good

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
— EPHESIAN 2:10 (NIV)

We all are faced with making decisions daily. We have to make our minds up to do the right thing or the wrong thing. We have the free will to do some good or do some bad. Many times, opportunities to do some good are placed in our paths. For instance, to hold the door for someone in a wheelchair or helping a stranger with a flat tire are examples of opportunities to do something good. But how often do you plan something specifically to do just for the sake of doing something good?

You are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for you to do. That means God has placed people in the world, all around you, that are waiting for the godly works of your hands. They are waiting to be blessed by you because you have been blessed by God. Today, plan to bless someone without looking for anything in return (besides Christ to smile on you). No one else can do this good work that God prepared for you. That makes you special to Him and important to us.

Looking good!

Heavenly Father, I am Your handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which You’ve already prepared for me. Guide me Father and direct my path to do the good work You’ve called me to do. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
