“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
The word hope is defined as a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen; a feeling of trust. Silly me! I’ve always used the word hope when I wasn’t sure something was going to happen. I would hope for good weather or I’d hope someone felt better tomorrow, but by definition, hoping is an exercise of faith when you expect a certain thing to happen. Wow! All this time I’ve been using the word hope the wrong way!
When you hope in God, you should expect God to fulfill your desire by the power of the Holy Spirit. And I'm not talking just a little bit either. Scripture says you will overflow with hope! That means when you trust in God, you will be blessed so much that you will have no other choice but to bless others because you have more than enough! Christ is ready to bless your life with an overflow of joy, peace, love, prosperity, good health, and so much more. He loves you that much! You only need to trust in Him and never give up hope.
