CAN YOU STILL SEE HIM?

In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of His robe filled the temple.
— ISAIAH 6:1 (NIV)

Uzziah, King of Judah, was 16 when he became King and reigned for about 52 years before dying with leprosy. During his reign, it is said he was a vigorous and able ruler conquering the Philistines and Arabians while influencing advances in war machines. He was feared and loved and even received admiration from prophets like Zechariah. When he died, there were years of sorrow in observation of his death. The people were at a loss. Yet, in the midst of this terrible time, Isaiah was still able to see God and witness His presence.

Unfortunately, you too will suffer great losses and at times have your world flipped upside down, but never forget God is still on His throne. Allow your heavy heart to be able to see the Lord, high and lifted up, above all your problems knowing He is still very much working everything out for your good. During your loss of a loved one, while in debt, in between jobs, when depressed, or experiencing anxiety, feel God’s love surrounding you and lay every burden you’re carrying at His feet. It is then you can stop looking down at your problems and courageously lift your eyes to the hills which your help and strength come from.

Heavenly Father, with all that is going on in my life, I will not become distracted. I will lay my heavy heart at Your feet and see You, high and exalted, seated on a throne, and feel Your presence. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
